Fans of Maverick City Music were taken by surprise as two of the group’s most recognized members, Naomi Raine and Chandler Moore, announced their departure from the award-winning worship collective.

Naomi Raine, who joined in 2019, expressed gratitude for her years with Maverick City, describing the experience as a season of growth and faith. She called her exit *“bittersweet,” noting that she feels led into a new phase of ministry and creativity. Raine recently collaborated with Nigerian gospel artist Dunsin Oyekan on “The Future”, further solidifying her connection with the African worship scene.

Chandler Moore, whose vocals on Nathaniel Bassey’s “Olorun Agbaye (You Are Mighty)” made him a familiar name among Nigerian worshippers, also shared his decision to move on. He revealed that he has been in recovery since checking into rehab in November 2023 and is entering a season of personal healing and renewal.

Both artists assured fans that they remain committed to their callings as worshippers and will continue creating music that glorifies God—just outside the Maverick City collective.
